when i first came across this, i wasnt expecting lore. Like Happy Tree Friends, it does center around the gore and pain of something cute, except there's a sense of cruelty at play. HTF tends to steer away from having the characters being tortured and focuses on the comedic aspects of the gorey things. I wasn't going to watch any more of this until I saw there was a lot more to it, since in a lot of ways, this is incredibly brutal in a way that actually gets to me like nothing has in a long, long time.
Probably because there's a point, or maybe because the characters are actually pretty evil here. But there's definitely lore and story here that I'm quite interested in seeing, even if it's sparsely, since I don't wanna just binge something like this. Also kudos to warning audiences about the true nature of the shorts, as I found HTF when I was maybe 11. Was not prepared for the gore lmao
